
A male was stabbed on the San Diego City College campus on Saturday morning, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement officials. A call about the incident came into the authorities around 8:45 a.m. following reports of a possible robbery and stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers from the San Diego Police Department discovered a male victim suffering from injuries that, thankfully, were classified as non-life-threatening. Emergency medical services were called to the scene to provide treatment.
According to authorities, the suspect has been identified as a 26-year-old unhoused man who allegedly stole the victim’s laptop. After the theft, he returned armed with a knife, demanding money from the victim, during which he stabbed him in the forehead before fleeing the scene.
The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male between 30 to 40 years old, wearing dark clothing and carrying a red/orange shopping bag.
Around 5 p.m., an SDCCD police officer arrested the suspect in the 1000 block of 17th St. No further details regarding the arrest have been released at this time.
