San Diego, California – Disgraced TikTok sensation Ali Abulaban — once known as ‘JinnKid’ to his social media fans — will never breathe free air again after being handed a life sentence for the cold-blooded slaying of his wife and her friend in downtown San Diego. The 32-year-old, infamous for his viral videos, stood stone-faced in court on Friday as San Diego Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Fraser slammed him with two consecutive terms of 25 years to life, sealing his fate behind bars for good.

The dramatic verdict comes nearly three years after the October 2021 massacre inside the upscale Spire San Diego apartments, where prosecutors say Abulaban executed 28-year-old Ana Abulaban, his estranged wife, and her friend Rayburn Cardenas Barron, 29. During the trial, Abulaban confessed to the gunfire that ended two lives and shattered two families.

Judge Fraser didn’t sugarcoat his disgust, mincing no words as he looked Abulaban in the eyes: “You are a selfish man. As shown to everyone — jury included — you will spend your last days behind prison walls. You will die there. Freedom is over for you.”

Before sentence was handed down, the courtroom overflowed with raw emotion as relatives of the victims bared their pain. Six family members took the stand, painting a gut-wrenching portrait of families forever changed.

One of the most heart-rending moments came when Ana’s sister erupted with grief, screaming at Abulaban for betraying their trust and destroying their family. She broke down as she recounted how he’d promised her mother to look after Ana and their daughter Amira, only to plunge them into misery: “If I’d known how you hurt my sister, I would’ve come and taken her and Amira away from you! You made her feel worthless when she was everything to us.”

Barron’s relatives described their brother with tearful voices, calling him the loving glue that held their family together. His sister, Lizbeth, sobbed as she spoke: “People call us strong for surviving, but the truth is we are shattered. Losing Rayburn so violently has left us broken. The grief and trauma rob us of a normal life.”

Given the opportunity to speak, Abulaban finally addressed the court. Clutching a handwritten note, he issued a shaky apology to the victims’ families — before attempting to excuse his actions as a moment of madness brought on by drug-fueled psychosis. But for the broken families in that courtroom, no words could fill the void left by Ana and Rayburn’s brutal deaths.

With this sentence, Ali Abulaban’s TikTok days are as dead as his chances of ever walking free again — a life destined to end within prison walls.
