San Diego, California -San Diego’s upscale scene has been rocked by tragedy: Tatyana Remley, the glamorous horse enthusiast accused of plotting her husband’s murder, has died in an apparent suicide, say law enforcement sources. The 44-year-old was discovered dead Thursday night outside a local bar, her life ending with a gunshot to the head after a tense phone call with ex-husband Mark Remley, whom she’d allegedly once tried to have killed.
Mark, a founder in the tech world, told Daily Mail reporters that Tatyana had FaceTimed him from a bathroom stall just moments before her death, frantically venting about the man she was with: “She said, ‘I’m with this guy and he’s being a jerk.’” The couple’s whirlwind romance began 15 years ago in one of San Diego’s wealthiest enclaves and spiraled into a bitter split last year.
Last August, Remley faced criminal charges for attempting to hire a killer to take out Mark. Additional counts included carrying concealed weapons and possessing firearms in public. Admitting guilt, Tatyana was sentenced to almost four years in prison but reportedly served just twelve months before her release.
The shocking saga ended this week outside a bar, where Remley—known for her luxurious lifestyle and love of horses—was found dead, her story leaving a stunned San Diego community grappling with unanswered questions.
