San Diego, California – San Diego FC has issued indefinite bans to 33 individuals involved in a violent altercation following last Saturday’s match against the LA Galaxy at Snapdragon Stadium. The disciplinary action comes after videos circulated online showing supporters of both teams engaging in physical confrontations in the stands, with additional fighting reportedly continuing in the stadium parking lots.

The club, in coordination with Major League Soccer, Snapdragon Stadium officials, the LA Galaxy, and local law enforcement, conducted a review of the incident and confirmed the identities of those involved. The banned individuals will be prohibited from attending all San Diego FC and MLS events, including home and away matches.

The confrontation marks the second major incident of fan violence involving San Diego FC supporters in the team’s inaugural season. A similar outbreak occurred in April during a match against LAFC, another Southern California rival. In both cases, the club publicly denounced the behavior and emphasized its commitment to creating a safe and inclusive matchday environment.

The team reiterated that any conduct violating the MLS Fan Code of Conduct may lead to stadium ejections and bans. While the investigation remains ongoing, San Diego FC indicated that additional disciplinary measures may be taken as more information becomes available.

San Diego FC is one of Major League Soccer’s newest franchises and represents the league’s third team in Southern California, joining the LA Galaxy and LAFC. The growing rivalries among the three clubs have energized the region’s passionate soccer fan base, but the recent incidents have raised concerns about supporter behavior and stadium security.

The club returns to Snapdragon Stadium this Saturday to face Austin FC, with increased scrutiny on crowd management and fan conduct expected.
