Los Angeles County – Authorities are on the lookout for a man suspected of secretly recording students inside women’s restrooms at the College of The Canyons Valencia campus. The incidents, which have occurred between October 2024 and March 2025, have raised concerns about privacy and safety on campus.

The case first came to light when one of the victims posted a video online, detailing her disturbing encounter. The victim recounted her experience, stating, “While using the restroom, I looked down and saw a phone underneath the stall recording me. I yelled, and it ended up being a man hiding in the last stall, waiting for girls to walk in and use the restroom to record them.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released two images of the suspect on Tuesday, showing him in all-black clothing and a hoodie as he hurried down a sidewalk. The images offer a clearer view of the man, although his face was mostly obscured in the original footage.

The suspect is described as a Black man in his early 20s, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 170 pounds. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or has additional information to come forward.

Detective Marinelli of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station is handling the investigation, and those with information are encouraged to contact him at 661-287-5637. Individuals who wish to remain anonymous can reach out to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit the website at lacrimestoppers.org.

The incidents have sparked concerns about campus safety, with many students and faculty calling for increased security and awareness regarding privacy in public spaces. As the investigation continues, authorities are reminding the community to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
