One man was killed following a shooting late last night in the middle of a celebration of life at a La Mesa church.
The La Mesa Police Department states that officers discovered the body of a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head upon entering the church at 8705 Echo Drive at 8:33p.m. on Thursday.
Police are still trying to get a description of the suspect. Reports state that members of the church cleared the area when they heard gunfire.

Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
